SAN ANTONIO – The Virginia Beach KOA Holiday, a company-owned and operated campground in Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) portfolio, has been named the Owned Asset of KOA (OAK) Campground of the Year. This award recognizes a campground that exemplifies exceptional operational excellence, outstanding guest satisfaction, and unwavering commitment to the KOA brand. The award was announced on Tuesday, November 19, at KOA’s annual Convention and Expo held this year in San Antonio, Texas.
The Virginia Beach KOA Holiday is managed by Keith Stachurski and his assistant manager, Paula Hobaugh. Stachurski has been the General Manager of the campground since 2011 and is credited for developing a very strong team with impressive longevity for the hospitality industry. “Keith and his team truly exemplify the KOA spirit in all that they do,” said KOA’s president and CEO, Toby O’Rourke. “Not only did they demonstrate operational and financial excellence this year, their dedication to delivering a premier guest experience has earned them World Class designation by NPS standards.
