Jef Sutherland is Vice President of Franchise Operations for Kampgrounds of America Inc. He was promoted to this new position in January 2009 after several years as KOA’s vice president of Information Services. In his new role, Sutherland acts as the “air traffic controller” for all franchise-directed services, coordinating the efforts of the various KOA departments that serve KOA franchisees. He directly oversees the KOA Franchisee Services Department, as well as the KOA Information Services Department. The Franchisee Services Department deals directly with the more than 440 KOA franchisees in North America, providing services directly to kampgrounds and coordinating the duties of field service consultants and inspection teams. The KOA Information Services Department provides data services to all internal KOA departments, as well as providing assistance with computer hardware, software and other related issues to KOA franchisees, including the operation of KampSight, KOA’s campground operating system.
