
Mike Gast
Vice President of Communications
Mike Gast came to Kampgrounds of America Inc. in May 2001 after more than 22 years in the newspaper industry. He started his journalism career at the Knight-Ridder owned Aberdeen American News in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He came to Billings, Montana in 1987 and served as night city editor, city editor and managing editor of the Billings Gazette before moving to Corvallis, Oregon to be the editor-in-chief of the Corvallis Gazette-Times in 1996. He returned to Billings in 1998 to head the Circulation Department at the Billings Gazette. He created and headed the Gazette's Marketing Department in 1999 until leaving the paper in 2001. His duties at Kampgrounds of America as Vice President of Communications include guiding and editing KOA publications, public relations and event planning.
